In Malawi, it can be difficult to attract the best teachers out into the countryside as most government schools do not offer good quality accommodation for their staff. Expand has made sure that all the teachers who come to teach at Chisala can enjoy living in an on-site house with running water and solar-powered electricity. Having teachers live on-site encourages after-school activities and a safe and friendly environment for the kids around the village. St Giles International School has been an incredible supporter and built 4 houses in 2015/16.

From 2016 - 2022:
Expand has since built 4 more houses including toilet blocks.
