Thanks to Expand donors and Kawandama Hills Plantation, this once dilapidated remote primary school in the forestry village of Kalungulu is now a thriving educational hub with 5 teachers provided by government and 3 teachers funded by Expand. Mkoko School now has classes for standards 1-8, an admin block, a well stocked library, an IT block, water provision (borehole), and solar electricity.
A huge thanks must go to Citrefine International Ltd who have supported Expand in constructing new toilets, urinals, establish a container office, as well as start tree planting and school garden projects. This will feed the children and educate them on sustainable conservation agriculture.

Funded 8 teachers houses over period of 3 years.
