EXPAND

Expand contributed towards finishing the maternity centre in 2010 at Chisala Health Centre. The Centre is now an integral part of the community, looking after its babies and mothers. The health sector in Malawi is a very sad story and these rural centres need all the help they can get.  Chisala is very fortunate to have a great health team there with the Head Nurse also tending to the midwifery department. Hundreds of babies are being born every year in this typical rural health centre setting.

From 2016 - 2022:

• Expand recently replaced the water tank at the maternity clinic. 

• We built a doctors house for the health clinic
